Moritz von Stuelpnagel directed Ensemble Studio Theatre’s production of HAND TO GOD by Robert Askins. Following two sold-out runs at EST, it transferred to MCC Theatre, where he received an SDC Callaway nomination and a Lortel Award nomination. Its journey continued to Broadway, where the production received 5 Tony Award nominations, including Best Play and Best Director. Also for EST, Moritz directed LOVE SONG OF THE ALBANIAN SOUS CHEF by Robert Askins, THE ROOSEVELT COUSINS THOROUGHLY SAUCED by Mike Lew, and countless plays for Youngblood. Moritz’s work has also been seen at Manhattan Theatre Club, Lincoln Center Theatre/LCT3, the Alliance Theater, Williamstown Theatre Festival, the Huntington Theatre, Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre, Ars Nova, Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, Rising Phoenix Rep, Lesser America, Ma-Yi Theatre, Allentown Shakespeare in the Park, and Studio 42.
