Fred Gordon
Born in the Bronx, a founding member of The Ensemble Studio Theatre, New York; served on the Members Council and led the weekly Playwrights Unit at EST Los Angeles for five years.  Taught Playwriting, UCLA Extension, 3 years.  Plays produced in NY, LA, Baltimore, Syracuse, etc.  Published novels include: BENJAMIN GRABBED HIS GLICKEN AND RAN and BLOOD NEVER DRIESBALANCE OF PAYMENTS, a one act play, won and was produced at the Warner International Play Festival, October 2019.  I AM THE WOLF, a full length play, was produced as a staged reading at EST NY'S Memberfest, November 2019; was being scheduled at The Queens Theatre, NY, for 2020, when COVID shut down the world.  A 2021-22 production may follow.  A recipient of a PEN Grant Award; a three time Edward F. Albee Fellow; a graduate of UC Berkeley; an MFA in film from Columbia University.  Member of The Dramatists Guild and the National New Play Network (newplayexchange.org/users/17098/fred-gordon).
