Kristin Slaney is a playwright originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Recent credits playwriting include: SHE HERSELF IS A HAUNTED HOUSE, an adaptation of several Angela Carter stories for Dalhousie University's Fountain School of the Arts; and a workshop production her play The unnatural journey of St. Valerie to Nova Scotia, presented at Columbia University and directed by Lillian Meredith. Kristin's work has been produced and developed in Canada by Ship's Company Theatre, Eastern Front Theatre, Halifax Theatre for Young People, and DaPoPo Theatre. Kristin is a 2016 MFA Theatre (Playwriting) candidate at Columbia University, and she also teaches a gender and sexuality-themed composition course through Columbia's English department. She is so thrilled to be joining so many writers she admires in Youngblood.
