Kel is a freelance director, who focuses on new plays and musicals.  Recent directing credits include: EL FUEGO by Edith Freni (Partial Comfort Productions), ROMEO AND JULIET (The Flea), ROW AFTER ROW by Jessica Dickey, LITTLE ROCK by Rachel Bonds (both at Williamstown Theatre Festival), THE CONSEQUENCES by Nathan Leigh & Kyle Jarrow (Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theatre), INTERVIEWING MISS DAVIS by Laura Maria Censabella (EST Marathon 2010) and SLOPPY SECOND CHANCES by Mrnalini Kamath (EST’s Going to the River, 2009).

She has directed and developed new work at Ars Nova, The Directors Company, Cherry Lane Theatre, Ensemble Studio Theatre and Youngblood, Keen Company, The Lark, Ma-Yi Theater Company, New Dramatists, New Georges, NY Fringe Festival, Rising Phoenix Rep, Studio 42, Vampire Cowboys, Westport Country Playhouse, & the 52nd Street Project. 

She has collaborated with such playwrights as Robert Askins, Micheline Auger, Clare Barron, Rachel BondsBekah Brunstetter, Nikole Beckwith, Jonathan Caren, Jonathan Ceniceroz, Laura Maria Censabella, Samantha Chanse, Carla Ching, Dustin Chinn, Naveen Bahar Choudhury, Emily Conbere, Jessica Dickey, Edith Freni, Kirby Fields, Dorothy Fortenberry, Mira Gibson, J Holtham, Nick Jones, Anna Moench, Rehana Mirza, Mrinalini Kamath, Jon Kern, Patrick Link, Kyoung H.
