Emily Chadick Weiss is a writer for the PBS Kids TV Show "Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood". Her independent pilot script, "The Share", www.TheShareSitcom.com won the WILDsound Film Festival and she was a finalist for her screenplay and pitch of The Life and Times of at The Austin Film Festival. She is a four-time EST/Alfred P. Sloan Grant recipient. Her plays have been performed with the Araca Group, The Lark, New Georges, Naked Angels, The 52nd St Project, Theatre Breaking Through Barriers, and she is a winner of Young Playwrights Inc. National Playwriting Contest. She was a member of the playwriting group, Youngblood, at The Ensemble Studio Theatre and her play, The Last Party, is published by Applause Theatre & Cinema Books. Her piece on Wendy Wasserstein’s The Heidi Chronicles was published in The Dramatist Magazine. Emily’s play, Good Dancer was commissioned by The Apothetae, developed at The Kennedy Center, and will have its world premiere at Theater Alliance in Washington DC in Spring 2016.
